entails construction of 130 km expressway between Kolkata and Haldia
including 3.5 km bridge over river Hooghly and another 1.5 km bridge
over river Haldi Also
entails development of 2 SEZs – Petrochemical SEZ in 10,000
acres
at Purba Medinipur and multi-product SEZ in 12,500 acres at Haldia In
addition to industrial estates, small and medium scale enterprises are
also to be developed along the highway
The
project also involves development of the residential townships /
commercial complexes at various places along the highway Health
City and a Knowledge City of International standard is also part of the
development plan.
USEL
has envisaged two SEZs in the state of Maharashtra at Nashik and
Aurangabad and thereafter explore similiar projects in the state of
Andhra Pradesh. The project sites at Nashik and Aurangabad have been
identified and the project entails a state-of-the-art mixed use
industrial development.
The
mega project at Nashik and Aurangabad will be a self-sustained
industrial and multi-use township desgined and constructed to the
highest international standards, focusing on providing a
homogenous neighborhood for industrial and domestic growth. It will
harmoniously blend with nature and environment to create an ideal
modern and integrated industrial township.
